ATHERIS

Short-Run Manufacturing & Custom Production

Some jobs need more than a prototype and far less than mass production. ATHERIS makes repeatable batches of custom parts for businesses that need dozens, not tens of thousands, without the cost and wait of traditional tooling.

Why short-run

Injection moulding and similar processes make sense at high volumes, but the tooling is expensive and slow to change. Digital fabrication skips the tooling, so the cost per part stays reasonable at low quantities and the design can be revised between batches.

What we produce

  • Custom brackets, clips, mounts and spacers
  • Jigs, fixtures and production aids
  • Enclosures and housings for small product runs
  • Branded components for specialty businesses
  • Replacement parts kept on file for re-orders

Built for repeat business

Once a part is proven, the design, material and settings are recorded so the next batch matches the last. Revisions are simple: change the model and the next run reflects it. Many of our business customers order the same parts again as they need them, rather than holding large inventory.

From design to production

If the part does not exist yet, we design it, prototype it and refine it with you before scaling to a batch. Process is chosen around the part: 3D printing, laser cutting, machining or a combination, with branding added where needed. Quantities and lead times are quoted per job, since they depend on part size, material and process.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as short-run?

It varies by part. Generally more than a handful and fewer than a mass-production run would justify. Tell us your numbers and we will advise.

Can you hold designs for re-orders?

Yes. Proven designs and settings are kept on file so repeat batches are consistent.

Can the design change between batches?

Yes. That is one of the main advantages of producing without tooling.

Do you work with businesses outside Milton?

Yes. We are based in Milton, Ontario and work with businesses across Canada, with local pickup, handoff or shipping arranged per project.
